Types of Manitowoc Ice
Full Dice Cube - Traditional Cube shape approximately 7/8 inch dimensions - equal height, width, and depth.
Half Dice Cube - Half of a cube - shaped like a pat of butter - Approximately 3/8 by 7/8 by 7/8 inch. Smaller size means more ice less liquid per glass - perfect for beverage dispensing.
Octagon Ice - Large, solid formed ice, shaped like a small shotglass with 8 faceted sides. Crystal clear, formed by eliminating air during the freezing process. "Gourmet" style of ice - Adds elegant touch to fine dining.
Flake Ice - Looks like small chips of ice. Scraped and chopped by an auger blade in a cylindrical evaporator. Softer and chewable, can be shaped and packed. Appropriate for food displays. Ideal for healthcare applications.
Cubelet Ice - Smaller, irregular rounded cube. Chewable, ideal for dispensing and for healthcare applications. Very popular for use with beverages. Nugget countertop units produce this ice.
Nugget Ice - Small, cylindrical "bullet" shaped ice. Somewhat uniform in shape. Only several Modular units produce this type of nugget.
